CP4-7 Michael Jaroszko Santa Christmas Collector Plate
The age of this vintage plate is unknown but the traditional Santa appears to be richly hand painted and exquisitely detailed with bells and holly on his cap and a full curly beard and mustache. He certainly makes you admire him and brings a happy smile to your own face. The artist is Michael Jaroszko. The backstamp reads Manufactured in China, New Seasons tm, a division of Publications International, LTD. Illustrator: Michael Jaroszko. Plate is 8 1/16" diameter, 3/4" tall..Great decoration for Christmas

This is a limited edition plate with a scene from one of the artist's paintings. There is some writing on the certificate. The picture shows houses, barns, people, sleighs, horses, evergreen and barren trees, hills a sunset and a lovely Bluejay in the foreground. 9" diameter, 7/8" tall. Very special plate to add to your Christmas plate collection.
CP4-6 Norman Rockwell, Wrapped Up In Christmas 1981, Limited Edition Christmas Collector Plate.
This plate was made by Edwin M Knowles, maker of exceptional quality fine porcelain china since the mid 1800s. The rich colors on this plate depict a boy whose dog has wrapped his leash around the boys legs. With his arms full of Christmas packages he is trying to get the dog to unwrap the leash without any success. Norman Rockwell printed signature on the front of the plate and a seal which reads Rockwell Society of America, non profit official corporate seal. The seal us also on the back of the plate. Backstamp reads Plate number 13829D of "Wrapped Up In Christmas" Painted in 1920 by Normal Rockwell and Certified by The Rockwell Society of America,. The Eighth in an annual Series made in a Limited Edition Permanently Closed by Edwin M. Knowles on December 24, 1981. Bradex: 84-R70-18. There is also a seal that reads 1854 Edwin M Knowles America's Oldest Name in Fine China. Newell W Virginia U.S.A. Plate is 8 1/16" diameter, 1/2" tall in mint condition. Wonderful plate for the Norman Rockwell and Christmas plate collector.
CP4-2 Avon "Trimming the Tree," Christmas Collector Plate, 1978; Backstamp reads: Christmas Plate Series, Sixth Edition, "Trimming The Tree" Made exclusively for Avon Products, Inc. EST. 1833, By Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) LTD. England c Avon Products, Inc., 1978. Plate is 8 7/8" in diameter. Rim 1' tall with Gold trim. Adults and children are trimming a large growing tree in the neighborhood. There is snow on the ground, a pet dog sniffing around and small child in sled looking on. Very beautiful plate in mint condition.

Avon and Norman Rockwell Plates have been issued annually for a long time. They are both highly collectible series. Some of them are listed here. Betsey Bates plates are taken from her paintings and are very popular collectibles. The life like likeness of the traditional Santa was painted by artist Michael Jaroszko. All plates on this page are quality porcelain and are listed below their current market value. Usually the older the date and especially first editions are more valuable than the later dates and editions. All of these plates are in mint to near mint condition. Since collector plates are usually used only for display most of them will will increase in value over time and will be in great condition regardless of age.

EST. 1835, By Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) LTD. England c Avon Products, Inc., 1979. Plate is 8 73/4" in diameter. Rim 1" tall with Gold trim. A couple riding in a red sleigh pulled by a dashing horse across a rock bridge. It is a moonlit night showing hills, and a village with a church. There are barren trees, snow on the ground and a flowing stream beneath the rock bridge. Lovely vintage scene on the plate which is in mint condition.
