Beautiful blue lustre with the orange color and black line that has the moriage oriental style scene. This plate is typical of those so popular in the 1940s and 50s. Since 1794, the West German House of Royal Bayreuth has been the unequaled
leader in the productions of quality porcelain. The Sun Bonnet theme was invented by Bertha L. Corbett, a Minnesota artist around the turn of the 20th century. Her idea was to show that spirit and emotion could be expressed without showing facial expressions.

Royal Albert China dates from 1896 when Thomas Wild took over the Albert Works in Stoke-on-Trent a factory given its title a year earlier to commemorate the birth of Prince Albert. Today, Royal Albert produces the world's most popular bone china.
#CP-14 Royal Albert Floral Bone China Collector Plate
This is a very old and Very lovely dinner plate with soft scallops, turquoise border, gold trim and crisp bright colors in the floral design. I have done extensive searches but have been unable to identify the pattern so far.Marked on back Royal Albert Bone China England with the crown logo above it. The floral center design is hand painted and the ribbon and all the dots on the flowers are raised. There are two light scratches in the turquoise border, and some wear to the gold trim on the edge but no chips, cracks or crazing. It is 10 ½' in diameter which is a half inch larger than most of the dinner plates in today's popular patterns that are easily found. Beautiful for display and also to use if you happen to have a set of this vintage Royal Albert.
