These are RETIRED plates are from the Norman Rockwell Mother's Day Series, from the first limited edition. Made by Edwin M. Knowles Fine China. No box or brochure with these plates but the Knowles Logo and Official Rockwell Society Seal on each plate authenticates them as genuine limited editions. These plates have Mother's Day and the year, along with the Official Rockwell Society of America Seal also on the front, in addition to the Norman Rockwell signature. The descriptions for the plates are my own impression unless enclosed in quotes, which would be excerpts from the brochure.

It looks like the mother is either making or mending the flag in love and honor of her son who may be home on leave, since his Civil war hat is resting on the Table. Lovely Mother’s Day Plate for gift or display.
Mother's Day, 1984, & Rockwell Society Seal also on the front of plate in addition to Norman Rockwell signature...
Mother and daughter have found grandma’s elaborate courting dress in the attic. The mother is as beautiful as the former owner and the child admires both the dress and her mother. The heirloom dress has been tenderly cared for and may be worn to a costume ball by this mother, and perhaps in time also by her daughter. Lovely Mother’s Day Plate for gift or display.

It looks like grandmother has boiled some hot water and may be making some hot chocolate. The boy is waiting patiently and the little girl feels important that she will get to stir the brew with the wooden spoon. Lovely Mother’s Day Plate for gift or display.
