#PO2-7 Vintage Glazed Pottery Cereal, Soup or Serving Bowl
This is a pearly white bowl in just the right size for a generous serving of soup, salad or cereal. Also good to use for vegetables. This bowl is marked Made in Korea. The blue stripes look hand painted and fired. 7 1/8" diameter,
Charming, Vintage White Pottery or Porcelain, modified rectangular, footed, covered Tureen. Unusual shape and nice detail. It is 7 1/4" long, 6 1/4" tall, 4 1/2" wide.
Impressed mark on bottom reads. JAPAN. Raised fruit motif on both sides and on lid. Click HERE to see Open. There is an opening for a ladle. No chips, cracks, crazing or flaws. Nice to use for vegetables, sauces, gravies, etc, and for display as well. Excellent Condition. Looks like it might be from the 50s. Really pretty!
#PO2-5 Hen and Chick Pottery Napkin and Toothpick Holders Set
This Cute set looks like a hand made craft to appeal to chicken collectors. It is a Mother Hen Napkin Holder and Daughter Chick Toothpick Holder. They have matching bonnets and collars. Napkin Holder is 7" long, 5 1/2" tall and 2" wide. Toothpick Holder is 5 5/8" tall and has a 2" bottom diameter. Both pieces have a signature mark Hindt K incised in the pottery. It has a sticker that reads Quilt Box College Station Texas. The faces, hen body and back fence are sculptured, painted and glazed. There are no cracks or chips in the pottery. Quite a unique set to add a whimsical touch to a country kitchen, in Excellent Condition.
This is a very old pitcher in a classic shape that dates from the depression era 30s or early 40s. There is some very light crazing in the finish but otherwise in Very Good Condition. It is 8" tall, tip to handle is 9", and the opening is 4" in diameter. It looks hand turned and doesn't look like a manufactured piece. It has an ice lip and is somewhat heavy. The color is what I would call a mustard yellow. Looks like it belongs in an old fashioned kitchen.
Vintage mid 20 century Lion Cookie Jar with Fedora hat. There was a series of these jars made with different hats. Cute and colorful Lion with a surprised look on his face. He is holding a golf club like he is getting ready to swing at the golf ball between his feet. He is 10" tall overall. 5 1/2 " wide at base. No cracks or crazing. There are two small shallow chips at the base in the back. Otherwise in Very Good Condition. Impressed mark on bottom,JAPAN. Nice quality pottery with lovely details and shine. Very collectible, whimsical Cookie Jar.
#PO2-2 Mini Lustreware Pottery Pitcher-Creamer Made in Japan
This is a very old restaurantware pitcher-creamer, probably from the 30s as it has the look of being made before WWII. There are a few small manufacturing pips and a little extra pottery on the bottom which is somewhat characteristic of that time period. No cracks in the thick pottery. There is a tiny chip inside top lip about 1/2” from handle on design side. It is 2 ¾” tall, 2 ½” wide. Mark is made in Japan. Lustreware flower and stripe design on one side, gold trim. This is probably an individual creamer or a piece from a Child’s Tea Set. Sweet little creamer and Very collectible.
